Ensuring certain settings are correct in your Streamtime system will ensure a smoother integration between the two software packages.

Contacts Setup

Contacts present in your Streamtime system must be setup identically in your Quickbooks system for the integration to be successfull. Streamtime will not create contacts in Quickbooks when importing invoices.

Cost Matrix Setup

The Cost Matrix in Streamtime lists all of the items that you buy and sell. Each item in Streamtime has a “Sales” Code and an “Expense” code assigned to it. In Quickbooks it is the description for each item in the Cost Matrix that links sales to the correct income or expense account in Quickbooks.

The two articles following this one (Quickbooks Integration - Part 2a - Primary Items in Quickbooks & Quickbooks Integration - Part 2b - Sub-Items in Quickbooks) will provide further detail on how your Streamtime cost matrix should match your Quickbooks item list.

Your Quickbooks Item List will be setup in one of two ways. The way it is setup will determine which integration process is required.

Quickbooks Item List - Primary Items

If your Quickbooks Item list is as per the above example - see article named "Quickbooks Integration - Part 2a - Primary Items in Quickbooks"

Quickbooks Item List - Sub Items

If your Quickbooks Item list is as per the above example - see article named "Quickbooks Integration - Part 2b - Sub-Items in Quickbooks"
