Correspondence in Streamtime is a record of emails, phone calls, letters etc between you and your clients.
Viewing and Creating Correspondence
Correspondence items can be created against a client by going to Contacts > Company > Correspondence.
Or against a Job in Jobs > Notes & Tasks.
To create a Correspondence item click the New Correspondence button.
Select a Contact
Select a Status
Note: Status values can be set up by going to the Correspondence Master List in Setup > System Setup > Correspondence and selecting Edit.
Select what Type the Correspondence item is e.g. email, letter, phone call
Note: To change the Type simply click in the Type field and type in Email, Phone Call etc. Once the Type appears once it will be available in the drop down menu for future correspondence items.
Create a Subject for your Correspondence
If this is a pitch for a piece of new business you can put a value against the Correspondence item and a Win Probability.
You can then type in your correspondence notes in the field provided.
Alternatively you can use a correspondence template if you have one.
This will populate the Notes field with pre-defined text as setup in your template.
To create templates go to Setup > System Setup > Correspondence and select the New Template button.

Give your template a name, a subject and create the text for your template.
Note: Sometimes itโs easier to create the text in an email then paste it into the template field.
Once you have written your correspondence you can then email the Correspondence by clicking the Email button.
Note: Only some email programs are supported by FileMaker. To check if you email program is compatible, click here.
You can also attach files to your Correspondence items. These too can be emailed out of Streamtime.
Or you can select the Print button, if you want to print your Correspondence.
Creating Correspondence from Quotes and Invoices
When you select Email PDF when sending Quotes
and Invoices to your clients
this will automatically create a Correspondence item against the client.
